TEHRAN— Kazakh media reported on Monday that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will attend the 6th CICA summit, which will kick off on Wednesday.

Presidents of 11 countries are to take part in the summit which will take place on October 12-13 in the city of Astana, Kazinform reported Monday. 

CICA stands for Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures.

Aside from Raisi, heads of state from Azerbaijan, Iraq, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan are expected to attend the summit, according to the Kazakh foreign ministry spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov. 

Vietnamese vice president, Chinese deputy chairman, and five ministers are to come to the Kazakh capital as well, the spokesperson explained.
